I live in a built-up urban area in London next to a university that owns a lot of as yet undeveloped land, some of which is fenced off and some accessible but rarely used. This is a painting of one such field that we discovered walking our dog. This rendition is my remembering of an early evening walk on the cusp between winter and spring as the setting sun made its way languidly below the horizon. I felt a beautiful sense of calm and tranquillity and hope this feeling is conveyed in this work.

The piece is painted using exceptional quality Old Holland and Winsor and Newton Artists' series oil paints and mediums with the highest ratings of permanence and light-fastness on a fine grain fully-archival canvas panel measuring 18cm by 24 cm.

he painting will be packaged following best-practice guidelines and despatched by signed for and fully tracked courier. It is signed on the reverse and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

All paintings are unframed unless otherwise stated.
