Original artwork description:

Painted on-site in my Mom's yard in Milwaukee, WI. Features a birch tree in autumn color, with bronze and gold top leaves, gold and yellow leaves throughout, and a touch of light green and olive green leaves at the very bottom branches. Set against a blue-green landscape with a pink and purple sky, and a sprinkling of shrubbery and fallen leaves at the base of the tree.

Painted with oil over casein paint on board. The casein paint creates subtle running and pooling effects in the background, and a matte texture which contrasts dramatically with the oil paint of the tree trunk and foliage. The tree is painted with a palette knife, and contains thick texture and life-like dimension.

Framed in a 3/4 wide wood frame with a wood grain texture and light reddish brown finish which complements the colors in the painting. May be purchased unframed by request.
