I studied Chinese Ink painting in Tokyo for several years. This painting was one of the works I did with a model in the studio. It took several days to get the lines from the seated model and then I chose to use untreated Chinese paper with dark ink to create the contour lines.
The paper is thin and I mount all ink painting pieces on thicker white paper once sold so they can be framed. This piece is slightly smaller than A3 size and will work best in a standard A2 frame.
