Original artwork description:

Otis is the second of a series of portraits of african american "soul" singers from Georgia. I started right here in Atlanta with Gladys Knight. Ray Charles, James Brown, and Little Richard will follow. Otis Redding was born in Dawson Georgia (just north of where I live). He then moved to Macon Georgia.

Otis is a one of a kind, original work of art. It is produced using India ink and acrylic paint on 5 mil archival grade mylar. The mylar does not have to be stretched like canvas or watercolor paper. It is easy to mount on any type of board: plywood, masonite, foamboard, etc. I include simple mounting instructions with each piece that I sell. You can see these instructions at the “me at work” section of my shop. I include a hanging strip and a drywall hanging device. Everything that you need to mount your painting except the board. For this work, I obtained a copy of "Dock of the Bay", had it blown up and laminated to the mylar. The portrait of Otis was then painted over the sheet music.

The painting is signed on the front and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.
