Oversize wall art in neutral tones, a seascape, a minimal beach scene in the muted colours of the soft dawn sky in the Scottish highlands. Made on a quiet day in Summer when the tide was low at a secret beach looking over towards the island of Arran. Soft mist made the delicate pink tones in the sky appear like the promise of a perfect day.

Printed on the most beautiful watercolour fine art paper that has a soft texture that adds a depth and delicate texture to the image. Printed here in my studio on Skye as I love to print and using 10 colours of ink that are guaranteed not to fade for over a hundred years.

Image size 48 x 32 inches plus a 2 inches white border with the signature, title and edition number under the image.

My work is all about the emotional connection we have to a place and the moment in our memory when we felt such intense pleasure looking at a landscape. I am driven to capture the essence of a place with my camera, working mainly with the colours and shapes I see when I half close my eyes. I travel to remote islands, to places steeped in history, unspoilt beaches and wild rocky coastlines where I love to work in quiet solitude. I love printing and have long been obsessed with the materials I use. I love to work with fine art canvas and papers that are made for museum quality artworks.

This listing is for the paper version of the print, this would be ideal for dry mounting or float framing or traditional mat and moulding framing. It is an great size for a room with a high ceiling yet it does not over power as it is in soft neutral tones.
