This was a lot of fun to paint. I made up many stories as I painted this curious visual. "Osborn", as a title, fits the "criminal-ish" nature this painting portrays. The image of a scare faced, deadly serious man seeking a ransom is juxtaposed with an ordinary gold fish. The visual story makes the goldfish very important. We are left to imagine what is really going on. I particularly like the rubber gloves. They are a nice touch to show the seriousness of the situation.
Oil on gallery wrapped stretched canvas - standard size. The edges are painted and may be hung straight out of the box. If a frame is desired, this work will fit a standard open back frame. Quality inexpensive frames can be found at Dick Blick.
