Original artwork description:

'The Rebel' is an original watercolour painting and collage that depicts a black woman without all her facial features. This is a deliberate attempt to convey meaning through posture, angles of the head and other ways without the need for a particular facial expression to suggest it.

This painting is about questioning our pre-conceptions and assumptions.

It measures approx. 6" x 8" and has been painted onto professional hotpress watercolour paper and the collage elements have been encased in acrylic medium for protection. It has an approx. 0.5 inch white border around the edges.

It will be packaged safely inside a clear cello bag and a board backed envelope marked with 'Please Do No Bend'
