Coloured Marble is a new self-taught technique where I’ve thinned the consistency of the resin so that it flows more freely. Instead of using a mixture of various media and paints, this is a painting created purely with layers of coloured resins. The technique is a wet on wet approach, so the various pigments bleed into one another and blend. A level of control is needed in handling the canvas as the resin is poured, but fundamentally the resin is in control… just like actual molten flow!
