Original painting “Memories from Meteora in Greece” painted in Greece according to my sketches and photographs from nature in Meteora.

Meteora is one of the most beautiful places in Greece. The monasteries are located on the tops of cliffs reaching a height of 500 meters. The complex of monasteries in Meteora is considered the second holy place in the country after Mount Athos. And of course, there is a lot of beauty and inspiration for an artist.

The painting depicts the Rusanu monastery, which is very well located and offers the best views.

Materials:
The work is drawn on professional French pastel Canson paper with professional pastel crayons.

The work is done in an interesting multi-layer painting technique, when in several layers I apply the desired pastel colors with small strokes next to each other. Applied the so-called optical color mixing method. When in the process of execution I needed, for example, a green color, I superimposed yellow and blue strokes next to it, which from a certain distance the eye sees as green. And in the same way he achieved other colors and shades.

The composition of the picture is stretched vertically, this is intended to enhance the feeling of movement upward, as the prayers of the hermit monks who worked here were directed upward to God.

Painting will brighten any modern interior and, thanks to its color saturation, will look good in the bedroom, dining room or living room.

Decor:
After purchasing the painting, for better preservation, it will be necessary to arrange it in a frame, mat and under glass.

Delivery:
Delivery of the painting all over the world. I pack securely in several layers in special acid-free paper and cardboard.

I collect all the proceeds from the sale of paintings for my dream of a workshop house on wheels based on a minibus. I draw almost all my paintings from nature while traveling, and I really need such a workshop on wheels so that I can travel with great convenience and draw in any weather, because now I travel by bicycle.
