This small oil painting was painted from life in my studio. My goal here was to create the illusion of depth, where there was hardly any. I pushed the edges as far as I could and tried to achieve that feeling of depth. With the glass, I wanted to really push my abstraction - to convey the glass in as few strokes as possible. I must say I am quite pleased with the result. Check out the close up views to see the bold brushstrokes and the lost edges.
The painting ships unframed with a coat of varnish. It would combine very well with any of my other small kitchen still life paintings, you could deck up a wall with them. :-)
