“Organic Creatures Going To The Beach” is part of my abstract series, Organic Creatures, that combines a feeling of whimsy with a sense of bizarre absurdity. Much of my work is very planned, deliberate, and slow to evolve. At some point, I like to stop work on such a piece and do another painting that I almost attack with energy and colors, with none of the deliberation of my usual approach. This abstract painting uses soft colors in pastels of green, orange, yellow, and pink with strong, vertical, brown lines. It suggests to me a strange family of beings on an outing. Displayed in the national, juried “Mad World” exhibit at Union Street Gallery, Illinois,
Shipped to the U.S as is, hung on stretcher bars.
For international sales: In order to keep shipping rates low, this painting is shipped as a rolled canvas. The rolled canvas is wrapped around wooden stretcher bars that can be used to re-stretch it after arrival.
