Original artwork description:

This painting, created in 1991, explores the notion of creating order from chaos. The acrylic paint has been applied to the surface, exploring the abstract expressionist style of Jackson Pollock, pouring and pushing paint around the surface, whilst pressing other paper on top to print and pull off the colours.
The image explores the way the viewer of the work utilises negotiation skills, forming an image from out of the perceived chaos of marks and colours, seeking a resolution to form order from what is presented.
Each viewer will bring their own reality to the image and it is through this negotiation one explores what is presented to the mind.
