Mixed media and collage on canvas.
Recently I've been trying to organize and declutter my flat and studio, it's a horrific task and it feels like it's going to take years. But on the plus side I found vast quantities of fantastic collage material, I love scraps of paper that have been written on, left in the sun, aged by years of being stuffed in drawers and occasional spillages.
These were the base for this painting. The inspiration for the painting is not wanting to stand out, we are all different, some of us crave to be the center of attention, but I just want to fade into the background. I like being boring and ordinary.
