This original painting has been created from direct observation in my studio. I love oranges, especially ones with leaves. Every winter, I create a few paintings of oranges and leaves. While I usually pair oranges with blue, this time I chose this purple vase instead. I like how the fruits reflect on its surface.

I have painted this on archival quality watercolor paper and used the highest quality artist gouache paints. It ships matted and framed in a modern black and white frame under the protection of acrylic glass. The black and white frame with its simplicity really keeps the focus on the painting. Gouache must be framed under glass. If cared for properly, your gouache painting will last for years just like an oil painting.
