Orange Watercolour Fish - large original rockfish painting

This fish is on fire! I wanted to create a burning sea of hot yellow and orange glazes onto which I worked this stunning fish. His mouth shape and those spiky gills and fins captivated me and his overall unapologetic orange hue.

This is an original watercolour fish painted using professional artist grade watercolour paints and some gouache - brands are Roman Szmal, Daniel Smith and Winsor & Newton.

The 100% cotton stretched paper is by Saunders Waterford - archival and acid free. It is 90lbs in weight with a slight tooth (cold pressed).
