Original artwork description:

Painted on-site at the Iris Garden of the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. Features a bearded iris flower in shades of orange, white, yellow, and peach, with deep orange "beards". This variety of iris is named "Orange Slices". It looks yummy and reminds me of an orange dreamsicle. Foliage in the background is indicated with brushstrokes in shades of deep green. Framed in a wide wood frame with an antique black finish.

Materials used:

oil paint, iridescent oil paint, gessoboard
