"The Orange Roofs" is one of the series "Living under the blossoming trees". Even it's oil painting , this series of paintings is characterized by almost watercolor transparency, special lightness and freshness. There are number of paintings that were created on location (in the neighborhood where I used to live a while ago) during the short season of blossom of jacaranda trees. This beautiful purple blossom uses to keep couple of weeks and then it's crumbling on the ground, covering all with soft lilac pattern.
The picture was painted in oil on special heavyweight textured canvas-type paper. This innovative surface is designed specifically for use with oil paints. Painting is matted. Thanks to its light weight and flat shape, the painting is easy and safe for transportation. For hanging on the wall it has to be framed.
