Painted on-site at Boerner Botanical Gardens in Hales Corners, WI. Features a pair of orange poppy flowers in brilliant orange. Painted on board with both palette knife and brush. The flowers are accented by an indigo blue background and a few touches indicating green leaves. Dripping effects in the background were created with water-based casein paint and glazed over with oil. The shape of the flower petals is enhanced by the thickly applied oil paint. Framed in a 3.5" wide wood frame with a black finish and gold inner edge. The total width of the framed piece is almost 19x19".
