Painted on-site at Boerner Botanical Gardens in Milwaukee, WI in oil with brush and palette knife. Background dripping and running texture created with water-based casein paint and finished with oil glaze. The texture of the paint compliments the shape of the flowers' petals and centers. The "carving" of the petal shapes with palette knife heightens the drama of this stunning piece.
