The painting is inspired from one of my many, many sketches. Slowly I am reaching into my trunk full of sketches, organizing them, and reworking them into paintings … and some digital works. Many of my inspirations come from sitting out in public places. More are creative interpretations from images I see…. such as this one. Here I am using a loose approach to applying the colour, more expressive. The simpler result can be quite refreshing. People always make a good subject. The lines are fluid, the challenge is to put movement into the painting with colour and ‘splash’.
The close up picture is of higher resolution to be able to get a feel for the texture and brush strokes of the painting. Then there’s the work in progress.
