This piece is a reversible digital print of a section of a paper collage.
This piece is completely original and comes in its own, ready to hang, custom made perspex frame.
The work is sandwiched between two pieces of perspex (a frosted orange back and a tinted blue front) with spilt batons on the reverse so it is easily attachable to the wall. Additionally, the split batons are positioned in all four directions on the reverse, so that the viewer has autonomy in the direction it is hung. Additionally as the piece inside is reversible (as shown in the images), this gives the viewer complete autonomy on how the image is displayed.
The light qualities of the perspex frame work with the colours within the piece, making the image seem different in every lighting condition.
The coloured perspex frames reflect the playful approach I take when creating each piece. Everything I do is completely unique and different every time.
This piece of work is inspired and a reflection of the combination of my surroundings and environments, as I equally split my time between the English rural countryside and the geometric cityscape of London.
I work with contrasts in line, colour and form. A sense of harmony is achieved by balancing this series of juxtapositions.
