Watercolor rose, shiny in the sun. Pearl metallic paints (literally) or sequined watercolors are breathtaking! They mix just perfect with other colors, they change color in mixtures (between themselves and with "ordinary" colors) and always make the colors muted.

In this painting I've used just (almost) 2 gold-pearlmetallic and 2 pearlmetallic colors, only 4 pearlescent colors that blend so well. And it's unbelievable! Of course, I also used regular (not pearlescent) colors, but literally drop by drop. All special effects are mainly visible only in the sun or at an angle from daytime, and so - just a gentle, pastel rose!

Roses are my great passion! Especially tenderly I love roses that grow in the courtyard of my house in Ukraine, right in front of my windows. They are incredibly tall, slender, over 2 meters. The most beautiful time is the last days of flowering, when the petals begin to fall off. Fleeting beauty!
