'One Smile...' is an original drawing on hand stained paper using pencil and ink with copper acrylic highlights and collage detail. It measures 140mm x 215mm in size.

One smile can indeed start a friendship and I recall my mum telling me just such a thing when I was in hospital at a young age....'smile at the girl in the next bed' she said...'then you'll have a friend when I go'... so I did smile and I did have a friend.
I really enjoyed doing this drawing. The little girl is looking upwards, arms tight behind her back, feet firmly planted on the ground, looking at the words... 'One smile can start a friendship'....it's a good life lesson...a simple, yet effective one.
I loved working the tiny detail in her gorgeous dress and using different techniques within the piece results in a delicate, interesting study.
