This painting shows an arm which holds a banana. I painted “One armed arm” to practice gestural painting on a big size arm. I was looking to paint some artworks with different parts of the body: this one shows an arm which holds a banana instead of a gun. The painting looks almost photorealistic from a certain distance, while becomes more and more gestural when you get close to it. The atmosphere around it is surreal, enhanced by the deep white background which makes the details stand out.
