Original artwork description:

This original acrylic painting is called Eros and Psyche. It captures the tension, desire, and intensity of the intimate moment. It was inspired by the myth of Eros and Psyche - the best love story in classical mythology. This story is great on so many levels. It is about love, desire, conspiracy, jealousy, betrayal, determination, trust.... you name it. The story demonstrates the determination of a man even when he is possessed by passion and the effort of a woman to overcome many obstacles in order to achieve the happiness of love. In my opinion, the main message of the myth of Eros and Psyche is that love cannot live where there is no trust.

I think most of us can appreciate a good love story. If the myth of Eros and Psyche and this painting resonates with you, then hanging it in your house will make your space your own, it will bring personality into your living space. It will be a beautiful and unique addition to your home, or a romantic gift :-)

This is an original artwork, painted with acrylic paints and marble powder. I mix marble powder with my paints to create texture and distressed look. The sides of the canvas are painted and it's ready to hang. I always use 1.5" thick gallery wrapped cotton canvas for its durability and its 3D effect. The canvas is stretched over high quality pine wood frames and stapled on the back providing a clean finish on the sides. Since the sides are painted, the painting can be left unframed for the contemporary look.

Materials used:

acrylic and marble powder
