Athena the goddess of wisdom,strength and strategy. The voice of Athena represents the higher power within us. This is what Pericles believed. In ancient Greece his goal was to unify the citizens of Athens. He modeled the Golden age on Athena, erecting huge statues, bringing pride to the people with her art of knowledge and foresight, limiting wars and creating a better version of people and of course Athens itself. Today I pay homage to a woman, a god who's legend inspired unity amongst its people creating an intelligence making humans act with divine wisdom. This painting honors everything she represents.
