Original artwork description:

Each of the three dimensional butterflies is punch-cut from heavy watercolour paper and decoratively arranged in an alternating pattern in a square in the centre of the frame.

I've painted the iconic Pop Art style word Love in gold ink across the butterflies and attached to heavy watercolour paper then framed within a white glazed (glass) deep box frame.

The result is a modern textured relief design revealing individual butterflies in a pattern on closer inspection, with different shadows cast from the up-turned wings depending on the direction of the light.
