A few years ago when visiting the famous Ring of Kerry in Ireland, I stopped by a small rocky beach near Waterville where I was headed to. I was mesmerised by the sharp rocks all pointing towards the sea (or the land, depending on where you were standing). I took a series of photographs of this and made a few sketches in situ. I arranged the images together into a composition to create this drawing. There were puddles of sea water left over in some of the rock crevasses and it was my intention leave these blank as I enjoyed observing the pattern the rocks created.
The name is to remind of where I was headed to see the statue of Charlie Chaplin in Waterville.
The drawing is a wide format at 18 x 36 cm. I like to work in this size, the shorter side is half the longer side.
The drawing comes unframed.
