Original artwork description:

Oil on linen 120x80cm (47.3x31.5x0.8in) 2024, ready to hang.

This artwork shows a man standing on a beach. He is looking both at an island, on his right (which represents the hope for the future) and a bunch of broken ships, on his left (which represents the past). He is split between these visions, both of them characterized with some peculiar elements (the sirens, the boath with the sailor and the parachutists, which represent the menaces that the future brings, and the anchor, which represents the weight of the past, along with the broken ships). In the background, a storm is either approaching or leaving. I painted “On the shore” in an important period of my life, when many decisions were taken. I felt both the weight of the past and the fear for the uncertainity of the future, while taking them, and it was a great chance for me to think about how much they interfere with everybody’s life.

“On the shore” is a 120x80cm oil on linen artwork, stretched on a supported wooden canvas and ready to hang.
