Hare today, gone tomorrow. Brown hare numbers have been falling for many years. Speed is their defence and they can run 72 km an hour to escape predators. It is this incredible skill that I wanted to capture.

The method used to produce this image is etching on a copper plate with hard ground and aquatint.

Materials used:

Oil-based printing ink and Somerset Satin paper
