Back in July 2008 I had the opportunity to celebrate 4th of July in Las Vegas. In the day, before the evening’s festivities, we had a few hours to kill as I didn't really fancy sitting inside a dark room gambling on slot machines. So being an outdoors Scandinavian walking about outdoors was what I decided to do. With over 40 degrees Celsius (over 100 degrees Fahrenheit) in the shade this might not have been the brightest of ideas. Photographically it was a brilliant idea if course. As always in Las Vegas there is lots of construction going on and I came across this view. Thought the contrast between the hoarding and the golden Trump Tower was an interesting juxtaposition. Little did I know how relevant this would be in the present political environment nine years later. Looking at today's political picture I think I'm standing on the right side of this fence.
