Original artwork description:

Aberlour is one of the pretty villages on the coast of Fife, Scotland. Here, above a beautiful house with a spectacular view of the bay, I overcame my fear of heights by sitting on a rock a few metres back from the edge and just taking in that wonderful view. As I started my painting, the sun was setting behind the village, casting a beautiful light on the water. Just then, two other artists arrived to do some sketching in just the same spot! We had a lovely conversation - first about the place then about our work and personal circumstances and, of course, we ended up exchanging contact details so I know whose studio I can visit to get a nice cup of tea the next time I'm in Aberlour! :-)

"On the clifftop at sunset Aberlour" was painted en plein air on the East coast of Scotland on high quality watercolour paper using Windsor and Newton paints. It comes in a warm white mount to fit a standard size frame of 30x40cm.

Materials used:

High quality watercolour paper & Windsor and Newton paints
