Original artwork description:

I painted this piece en plein air - outside, on location at the The American River Parkway, which is a Sacramento’s urban gem for outdoor enthusiasts and those looking to refresh or re-create themselves. I liked the juxtaposition of red colors of the bluffs and greens of the trees at the bottom reflecting in the river. A house precariously perched on the edge of the bluffs above the river added to my interest.

Materials:
Oil on oil-primed Claessens Belgian linen on 1/8 MDF archival art panel, the back of the panel finished with melamine that prevents warping and deterioration. Painting surface is protected with a coat of Gamvar varnish. The painting is unframed, and will require a frame to hang. It will fit in a standard (USA) 12"x9" frame. Images showing the painting framed in home interiors are for presentation of potential framing ideas only. Frame is NOT included.
