ON THE BEACH II – DRAMA & LIGHT A storm looms on the horizon over the North Sea, whilst golden light transforms the foreground. Printed on textured aluminium, this piece shifts beautifully with the light

I took this photo on Brancaster beach on the North Coast of Norfolk in 2023 when we first moved back to England from Spain. It was such a dramatic sky at that moment, with a huge storm brewing on the horizon. Yet the sun, coming from behind me, was lighting up the foreground, enabling play to continue, in the present.
That wind was blowing and the sand was whistling around my ankles, attacking me and my little dogs like ants.

This digital image is printed directly onto a textured aluminium which does incredible things with the light, enhancing the contrast yet further.
