Original artwork description:

This painting was inspired by my love for the rural landscape. Specifically, this vista is taken from an area in Central Canada. That said, this work could have been painted to represent areas in the United States, the United Kingdom or Europe. As an avid traveler I am always inspired by tree lines on country roads.

'On Route to Blackstock' is one of only a few remaining landscapes that I have finally decided to put up for sale having sold about 70 such works over the last 25 years.

This painting is predominantly muted green in various values with a bit of violet and earth tones. Imagine an early morning in the rain.

This work is ready to hang and is continued along the sides of the gallery-sized stretchers so that no frame is required. A thin layer or Gamar professional varnish has been applied to protect against UV light.
