On her body, The bird that carried them was long White and Fluffy,
Their desire to become One
Disappeared when she woke up In the morning, Again.
Gugi Goo is a Serbian contemporary artist who currently resides in Portugal. She studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Novi Sad, Serbia, and at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan, Italy before eventually settling in Portugal. She paints abstract canvases that explore the human condition broadly. Her abstract works are energetic, full of emotion, and expertly combine large swaths of colour with negative space.
''Las ultimas cancones is a series of works
where fantasy becomes part of reality, for a moment. At that moment, a pulsation is felt - as life, a life force that can transform...
A new dimension is created as a kind of portal that flows into dreams and fantasies that lead to the unknown, where the boundaries of reality and fantasy merge.
In spatial relations, we have a constant shift and conflict between the rational and the imaginary, the figurative and the abstract, which have equal weight. The connecting consciousness, the path between the past and the future, between the unconscious and the conscious, presence in absence, despair and hope, courage and not drowning in madness, are the main themes.
The motif of flowers often appears in my works, through collages of dried flowers, photographs, drawings... The space is deep, pastel colours, airy. In it, the archetypal symbol of the Flower as the spiritual centre and transitional meaning of life often emerges. The ephemerality of beauty and the moment. A flower as a measure of an irrational relationship.
A flower is a link in reality, an exit from a two-dimensional, flat, vague space. An ornament that serves as evidence of the connection between presence and absence. Organic evidence of an irrational connection that encourages growth and comfort. '' - Gugi Goo
