This mixed media painting is part of a series of works inspired by the small white cottages I see on my daily walks. I painted it after a walk on a cold wintery day when the cottage looked warm and cosy with the fire lit. The smell of woodsmoke from the chimney filled the cold winter air as I passed by.
It has been created on a box canvas and has lots interesting marks and textures. the sides are painted white so no need for framing. It has also been signed on the side and fitted with chord so it is all ready to hang.
