Original artwork description:

It all began when my husband, on the occasion of my birthday, gifted me a set of colored ink markers. Initially, I found this choice rather peculiar. I'm a portrait artist who typically works with pencils, so I wondered what I could do with those markers. As a result, the markers remained at the bottom of a drawer for a long time.

However, every time I opened that drawer to retrieve my pencils, I felt a subtle pull towards those colors. It was a delicate summons, much like a child's voice. One day, I decided to heed that inner call and pulled out the colored markers from the drawer. On that day, my series of drawings, "The Inner Child," was born, which over time has grown to include 14 A4-sized pieces.

Concurrently, this experience shaped in my mind a new conception of art: as a playful act, free from expectations and devoid of project references. These drawings belong to the realm of dreams and the subconscious, carrying fragments of childhood memories.

“Oltre questo cielo” (Towards another sky) portrays floral elements firmly rooted in a lush ground but reaching upwards, almost as if propelled by the wind, towards the sky... towards another sky, rich with new colors and lights. Another sky that extends beyond an imaginary barrier. Luminous elements from the new sky penetrate that containing membrane, much like an osmotic process of fusion.

I hope that this drawing can be an encouragement to those who observe it, urging them to overcome restrictive boundaries and embrace the expansion towards a new and radiant horizon.
