Original artwork description:
One of a series of four paintings of the same location at different times of the year and day. Oliver's Island is small island (ait) on the River Thames at Strand On The Green in West London, a tranquil haven on the river which has proved a favourite with artists over the years. Indeed I noticed an artists' easel in a window of one of the houses on one of my visits so a good place for an artist to live too! ... although rather expensive I would guess. I wanted this one to be nice and colourful as the others are quite subdued.
