High up in the hills of Umbria, the olive trees stand in lines down the slopes. Just before the horizon, at the top of the hill, is one skinny, renegade of a tree that stands crookedly silhouetted against the sky. The other broad fruitful trees on the hillside look matronly in comparison.

I loved the defiant look of this little tree at the top of the hill. It was one that deserved to be painted.

Every painting is securely packaged and protected in cardboard and bubble wrap.
