Kirsty Wain has adeptly merged the use of expressive ink, charcoal, and chalk to produce a captivating masterpiece showcasing an age-old olive tree. This artwork highlights the artist's fascination with the distinctive forms and textures of these ancient trees, which are vividly portrayed through energetic brushstrokes and a bold application of lines.

It is believed that the Phoenicians first introduced the olive tree to Iberia (in the region of what is now Spain) in 1050 BC. The intrinsic characteristics of the FARGA variety, the climate and the terrain are conducive to the long life of these olive trees, which have been able to adapt perfectly to the environment.
