I painted this study in an olive garden near the sea. Olive trees are quite unusual. Their trunks are mysteriously intertwined, the leaves are silver in the sun. Olives have been grown here since ancient times, even in ancient Greece. And that is why a modern bicycle near olives that have been growing here for centuries is a symbol of the transience of time for me.
