There was a lot to look at at this vineyard in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This charming old shack captured my eye - it's where the vineyard literally began making vats of wine back in the day. Talk about character! The old tin roof; the mountains rising in the background, surrounded by pines but not forgotten. The new vineyard buzzed with activity, but this shack was where the action was for a group of plein air painter friends there with me. This original oil is 12" X 12" on an archival canvas panel.
