Original artwork description:

Landscape is imaginary.
During my life spentin the military , I managed to make navigation my religion, and not on an aircraft, but mastering the heart of it; Sailing.
I 've painted this one right after coming home from a weekend spent sailing solo across adriatic coastline...still I was experiencing ground sickness while painting....Landscape is imaginary.

Being the commander of your boat, and not only of your plane, is the hardest and more elegant, even romantic form of cruising around the planet.
.....it's you against the immeasurable force of the seas, force hidden beneath the apparently peaceful waves.
These oceans can unleash hell on earth in no time, proving whether you and your crew are men enough , strong enough, brothers enough to overcome the challenge, or perish disastrously. When the battle is over, landing in safe and calm waters is the reward. You walk in the bar feeling like Odisseus after the never ending journey back to Itaca. All the earth roaming people see you approaching , unaware of all what you've just been trough, but dreaming of those adventures, or maybe just for the chance to spend a little time on board, admiring the earth seen from far away in the open water.
