Original artwork description:

Huge oak tree in Capitol Reef National Park. Relishing the highly chromatic colors offered by acrylic, the colors are exaggerated and pushed to the limit. Only a #2 liner brush was used to apply thick pure hues in a pointillistic style on canvas. Your eye mixes the color from a distance and the haphazard stokes become more realistic close-up, reminiscent of impressionism.
