After a series of moving poses to capture the body in motion see Old Stick Walking finished at rest with the model seated. "Old Stick" is an affectionate phrase for a likeable chap, which John the model is, but is also the prop that was used on this occassion. A strong painting made of layers of lines in different colours follwoing the form of the muscles, bones and tendons.
