Original artwork description:

The Old School, abandoned in 1971, on Owey Island, which lies just a short distance off Cruit Island in west County Donegal, Ireland. Up until the mid 1960s it was the practice that pupils had to bring a sod of turf to the school to warm, ostensibly the school room. Apparently, the teacher positioned their table and chair right in front of the fire! It has lost its roof but the walled yard behind is still intact.
