Original artwork description:

The rural French Limousin countryside remains a step back in time. Many old megaliths pop up in fields and forests along my walks, alongside rickety stone barns and old houses that look untouched for hundreds of years. This is a view across the landscape towards two old houses with their characteristic terracotta roofs.

Painted in an impressionistic manner on canvas attached to a wooden board. It has been left to dry for more than six months before being varnished.

Materials used:

oil paints (Rembrandt, Old Holland, Winsor & Newton, Gamblin, lefranc & bourgeois
