Old Green Flowerpot
Oil on canvas, 30 x 40 cm

'I perhaps owe having become a painter to flowers.' Claude Monet

Flowers and pots are always great to paint! They provide a plethora of shapes, colours, textures and edges. One of the things that I most enjoy about painting them is the opportunity to play off the chaos of the flowers and leaves against the sharp edges of the pottery - in this case, an old and worn green ceramic pot.

Materials used:

Oil paint
