Original artwork description:

In April 2020 during the height of lockdown, I was missing going to my favourite local pub so I decided to paint it instead.

The pub in question is in Bow, East London, about 10 minutes walk from where I live. Its actual name is the Eleanor Arms but the back room and side entrance is called The Old Ford Jazz Club, and the sign is still there above the striking bright red doorway. It's a friendly, fairly traditional pub in the main, but they do free jazz nights on Sundays in keeping with the old jazz club name.

Painting buildings and architecture is a new thing for me but I approached the subject with my trademark illustrative pop art style, aiming for a graphic impact rather than super-realism.

The end result is a painting of classic looking East End pub that anyone could enjoy, even if you've not visited the address in question.

It is painted in acrylics and Posca paint pens on thick high quality A4 paper. It is signed and dated on the back, as pictured.

PLEASE NOTE: the painting doesn't come framed, but I've taken photos of it in an A4 frame for display purposes.

Roughly 1mm thick
Postage will be first class in a cardboard envelope.
